Juliana Capetillo, M.A. is an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 145031) who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based interventions with children, teens, adults, and families. Her approach is informed by evidence-based treatments for a wide range of concerns including stress and anxiety disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and coping skill deficits.
Through a consistently collaborative process, she helps guide her clients in identifying automatic thoughts, narratives, and unhelpful patterns which are negatively impacting their quality of life. She partners with clients to leverage their natural strengths while helping them to employ new skills and strategies when responding to challenging emotions and events. Moreover, she is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and has experience working in both outpatient and residential settings.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Juliana spent ten years working in some of Silicon Valley’s most prestigious and high-pressure tech firms. As such, she holds a deep understanding of the particular challenges impacting Bay Area professionals and works alongside her clients to bring life, career, and relationships into thriving alignment. Juliana obtained her master’s degree in counseling psychology from The Wright Institute and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University.
