Our specialties.

  • Stress & Burnout

Stress is the body's natural response to overly high-demand environments. It’s caused by factors such as intense work roles, difficulty in relationships, financial anxiety, and unexpected life changes. When faced with stress, the body releases hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, preparing it to react to the perceived threat or challenge. Burnout, on the other hand, is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged or excessive stress.

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). This structured therapeutic approach helps individuals manage their obsessive thoughts and decrease their compulsive behaviors. Traditional therapy modalities can worsen OCD as a result of “co-rumination” that occurs when the clinician inadvertently reinforces over-importance of specific thought content instead working toward changing the client’s relationship to anxiety producing thoughts.

  • Anxiety Disorders

Based on a specific case conceptualization for each patient, we use our years of training to help client’s shift from unhelpful avoidance strategies to helpful, adaptive behaviors. Primary modalities of therapy used include CBT, Exposure Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Therapies.

By modifying unhelpful beliefs and behaviors related to their medical condition, clients can improve their coping strategies, reduce distress, and enhance their overall well-being. Mindfulness Based interventions have also been found to decrease stress associated with medical conditons.
